Usage check-in
How do I find subscriptions I don't use anymore?
Auto-charge and free-trial reminders solve the surprise-charge problem. They don't solve a different one: a subscription that still runs, still charges you, and you genuinely stopped using months ago — a gym membership, an app, a streaming service you forgot to open.
C+R Research found 42% of subscribers were paying for at least one subscription they'd forgotten about entirely.
A few ways to catch it
- Go through your bank statement once a month. Works, but it's manual, and it's easy to skip a month.
- Set a recurring calendar reminder to review everything. Requires you to build and maintain the list yourself.
- Wait until the price goes up and you notice. By then you've already paid the difference for a while.
- Get asked periodically whether you still use it. This is what Wardly does.
How Wardly does it
Add anything you're unsure about under Usage check-in — set how often you want to be asked. Wardly sends a message on Telegram at that interval: still using it, or not. Nothing is charged or cancelled automatically — you decide, each time.
Usage check-in is a Premium feature. Auto-charge, free trial and manual deadline reminders are free for up to 5 services.
